Dear Friends and Co-Laborers in Christ,
Our hearts are saddened by the loss of BGM’s Founder and President, Dr. Peter Slobodian. On June 24, Brother Peter was promoted to his heavenly home where he is now enjoying wonderful fellowship with his Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. Baptist Global Mission and the entire Slobodian family are comforted and encouraged by your prayers and by the love you all have extended toward us at this time of grief. We do praise the Lord for His promise that we will one day be reunited with Peter. Brother Slobodian lived each day fully expecting that this day might be The Day when the trump would sound and the Lord would return for His church. He never missed an opportunity to speak the Gospel to all who crossed his path! He can now say with the Apostle Paul, “I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing” (2 Timothy 4:7-8).
Peter’s great vision and love for his own Russian, Ukrainian, and Slavic people continues to bear precious fruit for the glory of our Lord and to be an encouragement for all of us who have known and have worked with this man of God. His lifetime of laboring in ministry will be felt far into future generations.
The board of Baptist Global Mission would like you, who have supported Peter and Mary through prayers and finances, to know that the mission will continue to provide assistance to Mary in the form of medical insurance, prescription coverage, and health insurance as long as we have funds to do so. If you or your church has the ability to continue to support Mary even now that Peter is gone, you may do that through Baptist Global Mission at our Danville, Indiana address. It has been an extra-ordinary blessing when the Lord opened the doors to purchase this beautiful facility in Danville, IN. Also, it is a privilege and a blessing for Mary’s family and children to be sharing in the responsibility of providing personal assistance to Mary for the day by day, and week by week needs. Their homes will always be open and their time always available to care for their mother and grandmother.
Please
note that all Memorial Gifts will be applied toward the completion and
publication of Peter’s biography. This project has proceeded through the
initial stages but the larger task of writing the text in book form still
remains. We would very much appreciate your prayers for this project and we
know it will be a blessing to many people not only in the USA but also around
the world.
The ministry details in which Peter was involved continue to be overseen and administered by BGM. Ukrainian and Russian national pastors and churches will continue to receive whatever assistance was committed to them through BGM, as funds are available. We also appreciate Dr. Sam Slobodian and BIEM for their help in the physical administering of these needs when needed. If you would like to contact Mary Slobodian directly, you may email her at: DrSlobodian@juno.com. The Lord has blessed BGM and BIEM with a wonderful office facility in Danville. Please note our new address:

The web address for the Pictorial Album is: http://www.aletheiabaptistministries.org/Baptist_Global_Mission.htm.
Thank you for your continued prayers in the days and months ahead.
